journey i own

This was written during my holiday with my daughter in Hue, Vietnam.  From the simplicity of surroundings in the area to the friendliness of the people we interacted with, I thought about how much we set expectations out of our good intentions to each other, especially to our children.  Because we feel responsible for their future, we may sometimes chart their career paths from our own perspectives.  However, each one of us is different and it’s actually unreasonable to decide what should be the path of another.
